GNLU-Khaitan & Co. Advanced Certificate Programme on Capital Markets and Securities Law
GCBPP in association with Khaitan & Co has successfully conducted the GNLU – Khaitan & Co Advanced Certificate Programme on Capital Markets & Securities Law, 2025-26. The programme was curated by Mr. Aditya George Cheriyan and Mr. Oishik Bagchi, Partners at Khaitan & Co. It was aimed at developing a strong foundational understanding of capital markets and securities laws, and related practical aspects. Participants were provided with 60 hours of intense training by Partners from Khaitan & Co, regulatory experts from IFSCA and Ex-SEBI, academicians from leading universities, Investment Bankers, and Financial Auditors.
GNLU International Conference on Business, Law and Public Policy
Inspired by the success of the previous editions, we are proud to announce GNLU International Conference on Business, Law & Public Policy (GICBLP ‘25). This edition of the conference will have constructive deliberation on contemporary themes on financial institutions, markets, instruments, innovations and laws & regulations such as securities market & its regulations, regulations on insurance & financial services, banking laws, fintech innovations and regulatory challenges and other broad topics of contemporary issues.
GNLU – Panag & Babu Certificate Course on White Collar Crimes
We are delighted to announce the launch of the first edition of the GNLU – Panag & Babu Certificate Course on White Collar Crimes (2025–26). Scheduled from 28th to 30th September 2025 in physical mode at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, this course is designed to provide participants with a strong foundational understanding of the White Collar Crimes practice. Over the span of 18+ hours, leading lawyers from Panag & Babu and academicians from GNLU will guide participants through the entire life cycle of white-collar crime cases. With limited seats available, the course offers unique opportunities, including internships with Panag & Babu, scholarships for the top performers, and merit-cum-need based fee waivers from GNLU.
GNLU-NDA Policy Drafting Competition
GNLU Centre for Business and Public Policy, in partnership with Nishith Desai Associates, organised the first edition of the GNLU-NDA Policy Drafting Competition. GCBPP invited policymakers, stakeholders and students all across the country to bring out the policy-makers inside them. The participants were given a policy problem to draft innovative and creative policy proposals on. The selected policies were invited for oral rounds at the GNLU campus, Gandhinagar.
Kyow Your Practice
On September 4, 2023, GCBPP launched its flagship event, “Know Your Practice” (KYP), aimed at bridging the gap between legal practitioners from diverse practice areas and students. Through this series, students would be provided an orientation into different practice areas of a law firm, enabling them to explore the same through their internships.
Business Quiz
GCBPP organized its flagship event, “Business Quiz”, in September 2024 at Gujarat National Law University. 100 students participated in the competition, which had very interesting questions prepared by the quiz master, Mr. Diganto Sarkar, who tested the business acumen and knowledge of the participants. It was conducted in two rounds, first at the preliminary level, where all the students participated and then in the final round, wherein 6 teams were the ultimate finalists.
GNLU-Khaitan & Co. Workshop on Foreign Exchange Management Act
GCBPP in collaboration with Khaitan & Co. conducted GNLU - Khaitan & Co Workshop on Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), on 21st September 2024 at the GNLU campus. The one-day workshop was aimed at developing a strong foundational understanding of FEMA and its key nuances among law students. The workshop covered key topics such as FDI policy, inbound and outbound investments, and essential FEMA provisions.
